Billiards, the game of my life, the game that I grew, the game that I love. For me, billiard was never a hobby, it is my passion. Billiards is a strategic game, you won’t only be physically active but also mentally alert; you must have plans to trap the enemy and make your next move the best move to kill. We can see in other tournaments that people, when playing billiards is serious- Billiards makes me serious. Being serious is making me who am.
I am Sem. Bernie Firmalino a seminarian who loves to play billiards. I started playing billiards when I am 9 years old, the first time I saw the game, I really admire it because it is not only playing, it is also training and persevering for the game you’d love, it is also fun to be with others but I am serious when it comes to billiards.
I also encountered many opponents and later became friends. Lastly, the importance of billiards in my life is it makes me who I am and it has significance to me that I can use it to have higher potentials and most of all how I can relate and connect to my friends through this sport.
Billiards, for me is not only a single piece of cue stick and billiard balls. It is everything for a sports-man and his passion. It does not only limit to personal recreation, it also strengthens the bond of opponents and allies. Skills for the sport are never greater than passion that is ever developed for love.
